WCVD Dijon 1989

The First World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology was the culmination of 15 years of extraordinary progress for the discipline.

Never before had there been an opportunity to bring together expertise in dermatology of all animal species and from all parts of the globe in one meeting. The event was attended by some 600 delegates from 35 countries. Five major themes, each consisting of a major review paper supported by four to six scientific papers, were selected. In additon there were workshops, free communications, poster sessions, a special programme on buiatrics and a clinicopathological conference.
