Dr Francisco Abusleme
We are delighted to confirm that the successful Peter Ihrke Scholar for 2024 is Dr Francisco Abusleme from Chile.
Dr Francisco Abusleme achieved his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Graduate Diploma in small animal internal medicine from Universidad de Chile in 2006. He has been receiving referral cases in dermatology at the teaching veterinary hospital at the Universidad de Chile, Sede Bilbao since 2013. His area of professional interest is teaching and veterinary dermatology. He obtained his PhD in coagulase positive staphylococci at Universidad de Chile in 2023. His objective is to build up a career path as a veterinary dermatology specialist in academic settings. He has expressed a desire to share his knowledge with others by teaching and being able to enhance the level of the current veterinary medicine and dermatology practice in Chile. His field of research is bacterial resistance in Staphylococcus.
