The WAVD is very excited to announce that Dr Sabrina Costa, a former Peter Ihrke scholar, has been successful in obtaining an academic position as a visiting professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal.
The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) is a higher education public institution with a defined mission of creating and distributing technical-scientific and professional knowledge through study, teaching, applied research and experimental development. IPB belongs to the European Network for Universities of Applied Sciences, whose main objectives include the transferability of professional skills and the integration of applied research in their professional and technological education mission.
Dr Costa writes, “I am very grateful for all the support I received throughout my academic journey from WAVD, which gave me several opportunities for growth and learning, such as attending the World Congress in Vancouver and Bordeaux and the Peter Ihrke Scholarship and access to WAVD educational webinars. I am very grateful to WAVD and always mindful of my responsibility to share my knowledge with my veterinary colleagues from my geographic region.”
WAVD is very excited for Dr Costa and looks forward to further progress updates regarding her new professional challenge.
