First international veterinary dermatology symposium held in the Asia–Australasia region

The symposium will be held in Nara, Japan’s hidden ancient capital, from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11, 2026. We are planning a program with distinguished speakers from across the region, as well as from Europe and North America, featuring outstanding lectures throughout the symposium. We are also planning a social event called the “Nara Dinner,” where participants can build and deepen international connections while enjoying Japanese food culture and sake, which is believed to have originated in Nara.

Nara is also one of Japan’s most fascinating tourist destinations. As an ancient capital even older than Kyoto, it is home to historic architecture and Buddhist statues that evoke Japan’s timeless cultural heritage. In addition, more than 1,000 deer are carefully protected as sacred animals, and many of Nara’s historic sites are registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We hope that all participants of this symposium will have the opportunity not only to exchange academic knowledge, but also to experience the rich history and culture of Japan.

We look forward to welcoming many participants from diverse regions around the world to this Symposium!

Kind regards,
