I hope this message finds you well. My name is Keylla Steffen, and I am one of the scholarship recipients for WCVD10. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the scholarship awarded to me for the recent WCVD10 in Boston. This opportunity significantly enriched my understanding of veterinary dermatology and allowed me to connect with esteemed professionals in the field. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring such a beautiful and vibrant city. This experience was both personally and professionally rewarding, and it would not have been possible without the support of the WAVD Board.
In line with my commitment to disseminate the knowledge I gained, I actively shared insights from the event through Instagram Live stories and posts (@vetdermato.keylla and @dermatovetufrgs) as well as with fixed information (through Instagram stories). I also had the opportunity to engage in conversations with the other attendees (specially Latin American vet colleagues, as shown below) and lecturers, which further enhanced my learning experience and helped engage my audience.
Additionally, I have begun organizing lectures at my university to disseminate the knowledge I have acquired, as illustrated in the accompanying photographs. I am also in the process of creating informational leaflets and planning a series of educational Instagram posts, as this is a great way to connect with different vet colleagues across the globe.
Furthermore, I am developing an e-book, which will be made available to the general public in 2025 through Instagram, ensuring that the insights gained from the event reach a broader audience.
