As part of our mission to promote the advancement of Veterinary Dermatology, particularly in previously underserved areas for Veterinary Continuing Education, WAVD provided financial support for a seminar in Veterinary Dermatology to members of the newly formed Georgian Small Animal Veterinary Association (GEOSAVA) in Tblisi on June 1 2014.
Organised by the Global Veterinary Dermatology Education Group, Svetlana Belova, a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology, lectured on a diverse range of topics from flea allergies to endocrine problems. The seminar was warmly received by the 56 attendees who included vets and veterinary students, and the President of GEOSAVA, Ellen Chichinadze, is looking forward to further collaboration to advance the practice of Veterinary Dermatology in the region. WAVD would like to also acknowledge the assistance of sponsors Bayer and Royal Canin, who also provided much needed support.
