The World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) received three very competitive bids to host the 10th World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology in 2024. The WAVD Administrative Council met in Austin, Texas for their annual general meeting (AGM) during which bids and information obtained at site visits to Boston, Cancun and Chicago were reviewed.
A vote was held after the presentations and discussion at the 2019 WAVD AGM. We are excited to announce that Boston was selected to be the location for the 10th WCVD to be held in July, 2024.
The Hynes Convention Center will be the location in Boston for WCVD 10. It is located in the historic Back Bay area of Boston surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants and historical sites. The Hynes is connected to Copley Place and the Prudential Center which also links it to several major hotels: the Sheraton is right next door and the Westin and Marriott also connect to Copley Place or the Prudential Center via climate controlled walkways. There are over a dozen other hotels within a mile radius.
