Frank Kral emigrated to the US and joined the faculty of the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He formed the Veterinary Dermatology Clinic, which was the first teaching unit of skin diseases for animals in the United States.

Publication of Veterinary Dermatology by Frank Kral and Benjamin J. Novak, first veterinary dermatology book in English: a complete revision, expansion and translation of Kral’s 1931 book (325 pages)

R. M. Schwartzman obtains the first PhD degree in Veterinary Dermatology and shortly thereafter joins F. Kral’s veterinary dermatology section at the University of Pennsylvania

Formation of a German veterinary dermatology organization called the Freundeskreis Hautkrankheiten interessierter Tierärzte. Founding members are H Koch, B. Beardi, G Feslex, H Gehrig, G Kasa, F Kasa GH Muller and C Terling. The first meeting was held at Birkenfeld. The name of the organization was later changed to Arbeitskreis Veterinärdermatologie
