Goals and Mission
The goals of the association, in addition to overseeing the World Congresses every four years, are to guide and encourage the development of national and multinational organizations devoted to the discipline, to foster education in the field, to provide funding to working groups and committees active in any area relevant to dermatology and to provide scholarships to those wishing to attend congresses. It has also developed a number of publications, including Advances in Veterinary Dermatology (volumes 1-8) which incorporates the scientific proceedings of each congress.
In short, the goals are reflected in the recently adopted mission statement which is: “To promote the worldwide advancement of veterinary dermatology”.
